Nicholas Mstislav Egoroff, of Richmond, Illinois, died March 12, 2016, at Woodstock Hospice Care Center.

He was born July 22, 1930, in Miami Beach, Florida, and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. After his military service, he enjoyed an illustrious career in Public Relations, which included serving as Press Secretary to Governor Bill O'Neill of Ohio. In 1960 he moved to Illinois, where he served as Director of Public Relations for Libby McNeil & Libby. He was subsequently named Executive Vice President of the Financial Relations Board in Chicago in 1967. In 1974 he retired, and fulfilled his dream of living on a sailboat, mostly in the Bahamas. He always maintained he was never happier than when he was sailing. In 1990 he moved to Richmond, Illinois to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren. He resided in Richmond until a few weeks before his death.
