Paul Roman Kaminski, age 70, of Cary, passed away peacefully Monday morning, May 3, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born September 11, 1950, in Chicago, the son of Roman and Jeanette (Kraus) Kaminski. On October 22, 1972, Paul married the love of his life, Elizabeth (Betty) Murphy, in St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Chicago. They have spent 48 wonderful years together.
"Life is good" was Paul's favorite saying. Whether it was traveling with his family, spending time on the golf course, sitting outside listening to music or relaxing with a good bottle of champagne. He made the most of his life and brought everyone he knew along for the ride. His spirit will live forever with anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be missed tremendously.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Kaminski; children: Amy (Sean) O'Brien and Christopher Kaminski; grandchildren: Ella and Miles O'Brien; brothers: Thomas (Rita) Kaminski and Kenneth Kaminski; and several nieces. In addition to his parents, Roman and Jeanette Kaminski, Paul was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Rose Murphy.
Visitation for Paul will be held from 4–7 P.M., on Monday, May 10, 2021, at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry. Visitation will continue Tuesday, May 11, 2021, from 9–10 A.M., at Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 W. Bull Valley Road, McHenry. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 A.M., in the Church. Inurnment will be held in Holy Apostles Cemetery.

In following with the current CDC Covid 19 recommendations and the Illinois mandates, only 50 people will be allowed within the funeral home facilities at a single time and all attendees must wear a face mask or face covering upon entering the funeral home.
