PETER MAST Obituary

Peter Henri Mast

Peter Henri Mast, 58, on May 10, 2019, transitioned peacefully with the humane aid of an end of life program offered in California. Only three months earlier he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. He leaves behind a loving father, Don; siblings Dean, Colleen, Tim, Jill and Hans, their families and many friends.

Pete's quirky humor, self-deprecating humility, sense of wonder and delight in just about everything, and generosity of time and funds touched us all. His joy of creating and sharing with others whether through singing, playing piano/guitar, drawing caricatures, or renovating Masthouse and other past building projects motivated him, not acquiring money. The last gift he gave was donating his body to UCSD where his mother, Eunice had donated her body 25 years earlier.

We will miss Brudda Pete's camaraderie and spirit as he trades in his motorcycle for his new vehicle of spirit and soars the universe now. And the journey for all of us continues.

Hello U....offerings of Well wishes to the family.

Here it is, another year has passed and the void is still there, however, mostly filled with the cherished memories from our time spent.

Always remembering more, on his birthday....being a month and few days after my birthday.

We shared many great times together, which I hold close to my heart always.

Not ready to share photos yet, but will soon as I can.

Just wanted to Express my thoughts thinking of Pete 2day, on his birthday, where my heart aches with his absence.

Love to all

Share again soon

Just found out about this today from Greg Johnson.

Pete was rad. Most friendly, down to Earth, 'real' person I've ever met. Tons of great times with him while he worked for Datel. He moved on from that company and I never saw him again. Keep in touch with good people, a lesson I know but need to practice.

Loved Tom O's pics.

RIP Pete, everyone loved you.

Always remembering his birthday. Thats brings sweet memories and smile to my world.

I think of him often, as, I always will.

On this day, especially, I feel blessed to have spent many yrs on our journeys, together!

In the years to come, hopefully I'll get up to speed with my paparazzi loads of pics/videos, enabling sharing annually for a time of remembrance.

Family of Peter Mast ,
I want u to know....

He is thought of regularly and missed dearly!

And some day....

Perhaps we will all meet again!

Pete was a dear friend and co-worker out here in San Diego. He was a very important part of the wedding of Mary and I 20 years ago. We had a wonderful outdoor wedding at our home in the backyard where Pete played music along with a couple of friends he kidnapped for the event. Of course when not singing he was the ultimate host providing endless humor, friendly conversation and made sure you glass was full of something. Pete and I were both avid motorcycle riders and spend endless hours on trips including a few overnight rides to various places. One of the most unique was a trip from El Cajon to Palm Springs which found us caught in an unexpected snow flurry on the bikes (see attached photos). I have shed many tears over hearing the news of Pete's passing and had no knowledge he had even returned to California. I sincerely hope any of his relatives will contact me so I can reach out about Pete. I loved you Pete and miss you so much.

Pete was a dear friend and it's difficult to believe he's gone. We worked together on many remodeling projects, shared a lot of time with each other, ate many meals together, and truly enjoyed each other's company. His passing leaves a void in many lives in Dayton and for me, I'll always remember his smile, boundless optimism about life, and willingness to help whenever needed. If more people were like Pete, the world would be a much better place.

My Deepest condolences to the Mast family.

Always, will I cherish the time shared with Peter.
Capturing in pictures / videos, Pete with his family and friends enjoying the brighter side, as he would always say.
Loving to ride his motorcycle, singing, play his guitar, learning piano, creating Christmas cards/gifts, working, traveling, cooking but moreso...lol...eating it, dreaming and reminiscing down memory lane reflecting upon time spent.

He's Extraordinarily Unique! Most certainly, one of a kind! Giifted in many ways, He's a True Visionary!

Bringing happiness to many along his journey, Never hesitating in helping whomever needed.

Finding great satisfaction within his selfless, kind and gentle ways

He is loved!

I Miss Him Immensely! Never will his memory fade, nor the ways he has touched my life, enhancing my world.

My Dearest Friend Peter Mast
Rest in Peace

And here's to YOU!
