Robert William Leski of Elk Grove Village (formerly of Hillside) passed away from liver cancer on Saturday, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 17th, 1942, in Chicago, he went to North Riverside High School, where he decided to become a carpenter. He became a lifelong member of Union Carpenters Local 54. Robert and his first wife Nancy lived in Hillside. Robert later married Helen Leski and were married for 42 years. Robert is survived by his wife Helen and 4 children: Sharon (Ken) Lennstrom, David (Jeanine) Kelly, Joe (Melissa) Leski and David (Jodi) Leski – where they have 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Robert and Helen met at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Hoffman Estates, IL, and have been active members in New Beginnings since 1980.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 24, 2025, from 3-8 PM at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village, IL. Final prayers Saturday, October 25, 2025, 9:15 AM from Grove Memorial Chapel proceeding to St. Hubert Church, 729 Grand Canyon Street, Hoffman Estates, IL for Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM. Interment St. Michael Cemetery, Palatine, IL.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to The American Cancer Society or your favorite charity and honor Bob.
