Scott Madda Obituary

Scott M. Madda

Born: Feb. 12, 1963

Died: June 20, 2015

Scott Michael Madda, 52, of Wauconda, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, June 20, 2015.

He was born on February 12, 1963, to James and Judy Madda, in Chicago. Scott was a loving and caring father and friend who lived every day to the fullest, and a comedian who never took a day off. He loved to entertain everyone by flipping his eyelids, dressing in elaborate homemade costumes for Halloween, and always telling jokes. His passion for snow skiing, water skiing, snowboarding, music, and most of all driving his hot rod, made him the adventurous person we all came to admire. Scott always toasted to family and friends at special occasions and parties with the toast "Arriba, Abajo, Al Centro, Pa' Dentro"! And now we toast him with the same robust sentiment.

Scott is survived by his loving children, Celeste Madda and Austin Madda; sisters, Patrice (Scott) Stricker, and Dana Madda; nephews, Josh Dingle and Zach Stricker; mother, Judy Madda; and former wife, Maria Madda.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Madda.

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, June 26th from 4:00 until a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Burial will be held at Church of the Holy Apostles Catholic Cemetery, McHenry privately.

Memorials may be given to help continue Celeste and Austin's college education. Checks may be written directly to Celeste or Austin Madda, c/o Home State Bank, Attn: Teller, 40 Grant Street, Crystal Lake, IL 60039.

I found out about Scotts accident while in canada with family. I met Scott freshmen year in high school football summer practice. We always had good times together racing each others cars. He was always a funny guy to be around. Very sad about is early passing. He was very upset with randy salerno passing along with the rest of his group of close friends. I will miss him greatly. I will Remember him with a big smile i am sure that is how he would like it.

To the Madda Family,
We had only known Scott for a few months but in the many conversations that we shared he always talked about his kids. Scott had a great personality and was always very friendly. We are saddened by this tragic accident and will continue to keep your family in our prayers.

Dear Madda Family; Our deepest sympathies to your entire family. Scott and I started out doing business together and developed a great friendship over the years. We talked life as much as business. He was a fun loving and caring person who loved life and his family. He was so proud of his family ,friends, cars and especially his kids, Celeste and Austin. I will miss him greatly as he is gone too soon. He was a special person and Scott and all of you will stay in my thoughts and prayers. The Maikranz Family

I really do not know what to say other than we just lost a great one, Scott was always great to see, just did not get to see him enough. I few years ago I got a ride in that hot rod and none the less it was a hair raising experience with Scott at the wheel. My deepest condolences to the the Madda family and friends.

God Speed, Scott see you later.

Our prayers and sympathy go out to Scotts children. Though we only knew Scott for a short time it seemed as though we knew him all our lives. He was always kind to our family and especially to our son Michael, who Scott helped coach during his years in Raider football. You will be missed my friend and always remembered as a fun loving happy person.God bless you Scott and God bless your family. We love you Scott and will always love your family. The image of you with a backward hat driving your hotrod is forever etched in our minds. Thanks for the memories.
Love, The Frankes

Woven in the tapestry of my experience living in Crystal Lake, is the iconic Scott Madda. He was truly unique and owned all space with his gregarious energy. He was ubiquitous; part athlete, class clown, comedian, musician, water & snow skiing extraordinaire, husband, father, great neighbor and a youthful spirit, played out in the love for his classic roadster. I never saw Scott without a smile on his face and his larger-than-life presence accompanied with half crooked laugh, lit up the gloomiest of moments.

It's still very surreal, the news of his passing, and it's hard to let go of the reality that he is no longer with us. So now, when I close my eyes and think of Scott, indelibly imprinted in my lasting memory will be his radiant, positive character and brilliant, placard white smile.

Without question my friend, you left your enduring mark and made your corner of the world a better place.

God speed Scott Madda!!

Scott was a friend to me a long time ago. We recently reconnected via FB when he wished me Happy Birthday after 30 yrs. To say Scott was charismatic, kind, thoughtful, funny is an under statement. Great memories of him will be held dear. May god bless his family for theirs is a great loss to soon. Godspeed my friend!

Scott was good friend and business associate. Even during rough times he never worried about himself but his kids and family were one thing he cheriashed. A good man who will be deeply missed by his friends.
Love ya brother
