Sharon Ann Bruner died on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL. She was born in Woodstock, IL on June 17, 1942 to Harvey and Eileen Koplin. She lived and attended school in Union and graduated from Marengo High School in 1960. In December, 1963 she married Dean Halsey Bruner and they raised three children in Woodstock. In 2007 she retired from the Rockford County Club and volunteered at Rockford Memorial Hospital and Poplar Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers Stanley and Melvin Koplin. She is survived by her children Yvette Bruner, Dean (Carolyn) Bruner and Danielle (Aaron) Rylance and nine grandchildren. A small, private service will be held at a later date in respect of her wishes.
