William T. Hicks Jr., passed away January 30, 2021 at home in Woodstock, IL. Born to ZaIda (Moore) and William T. Hicks on June 23, 1936.
He graduated from the University of Miami in Florida with a bachelor's degree in economics. He married Janice Johnson September 1, 1962 and they lived in Palatine, IL for 24 years before moving to Woodstock. He worked for Chemplex in Rolling Meadows and George S. May in Park Ridge as a system analyst until retirement in 1999. He was a kind and loving husband and was friendly to everyone who met him. He loved spending time with his family and playing golf. He is survived by his wife Janice of 58 years, his two children, Steve (Sheryl) Hicks and David (Kathy) Hicks, his grandchildren, Ryan, Caitlin and Sarah Hicks, Amy and Joe Murauskis, his brother C.K. Hicks (Mary Elaine) and his sister Beverly Mullen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Ed Mullen and Gary Johnson.
Visitation will be Friday, February 5th from 10:00am until the Funeral Service at 11:00am at St. John's Lutheran Church 401 St. John's Rd Woodstock, IL 60098. Burial will be held in Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Zion Lutheran Church, McHenry or St. John's Lutheran Church, Woodstock.
