William (Bill) Myers passed on April 19, 2022. Bill was born to Donald and Pauline Myers on January 28, 1941, in Gallipolis, Ohio, he was the eldest of three children. He married the love of his life Sherry Pendleton in June 1963. They raised three children, one son David and two daughters Debra and DeAnn.
Bill was a dedicated family man spending time with his children and grandchildren, helping with homework, supporting them at band concerts, sporting and school events, and Boy Scouts.
Bill had a long career with Multigraphics as the head technician and traveled all over the United States and overseas. He loved to tinker and was a phenomenal handy man and able to fix anything, teaching his children how to be self-reliant along the way.
Bill was a proud American and honorably served in the National Guard as a mechanic and expert rifleman. He flew the American flag outside his home every day. He enjoyed working outdoors and always kept his lawn pristine. He loved animals and took care of the birds and squirrels that visited his yard. The family had numerous pets and he loved them all, especially his cat Jake and his dogs Sargant and Lieu.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Pauline Myers and his cherished wife of 57 years Sherry Myers.
Bill is survived by his children David (Sandy) Myers, Debra Harney, DeAnn Myers and beloved grandchildren Andrew, Alexis and Hailey; his sisters Sue Ann Webster and Nola Spears; two aunts; and nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Bill will be held Sunday, April 24, 2022, from 1PM until the time of service at 3PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake.
