HIGHLAND, IN - Andrew Bobalik, 96, of Highland, IN, passed away Monday, March, 11, 2024.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol (Joe) Allegretti of Crown Point, IN; son, Donald (late Catherine) Bobalik of Hammond, IN; granddaughter, Susan (Nate) Patena; and great-grandson, James Andrew Patena of Westlake Village, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Barbara; and his son, David.
Andrew was a proud WWII Army veteran. After 16 years at Inland Steel, Andrew left to pursue a successful career in industrial sales until his retirement in 1989. During that time, he also enjoyed a hobby of woodworking, and he created many custom pieces for family and
friends. He was the father who was always there, the grandfather who cheered every milestone, the very proud great grandfather who was excited for the future, the friend and neighbor who was kind, generous and helpful. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
