(Nee Bolen) "Butch"
Anne Hayes Steinbeck, age 84, of Schererville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
She is survived by two sons; William (Tina) Steinbeck II of New Carlisle, IN and David Steinbeck of Parrish, FL; six grandchildren: Tiffany, Katherine (Joseph) Templeton, Amber, Sean, Anamaria and Rosemary Steinbeck; great grandson, Tate Allen Templeton; sister, Mary Claire (Robert) Coe of Platte City, KS; dear friends, Joanne (late Leroy) Harris of Griffith, IN; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, William D. Steinbeck, daughter, Michelle Anne Steinbeck; grandson, Wesley Allen Steinbeck; parents, Clarence and Nelle Bolen and sister, Ellen (Terry) Kennedy.
Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Ave. Hammond (Hessville) IN 46323. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home followed by burial at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville, IN.
Butch as she was affectionately known was a lifetime resident of the Northwest Indiana region. She was a faithful parishioner of St. James the Less Catholic Church. Butch enjoyed traveling with her husband, cruises, vacations to Texas, watching game shows, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family.
