Antonio Gomez East Chicago Antonio Gomez, 75, of East Chicago. passed away Saturday, April 9, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Maria; five children: Valentine (Olga) Gomez of Merrillville, Hermelinda Gomez of East Chicago, Antonio (Sharon) Gomez of Indianapolis, IN, Ramon (Marie Elsa) Gomez of Portage, IN and Rose Olivares of Mokena, IL; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three sisters: Guadalupe Gomez, Martha Gomez and Manuela Ramirez; two brothers: Luis Gomez and Sabino Gomez. Preceded in death by death by parents: Hermelinda Pena Gomez and Nicholas Gomez; granddaughter, Cynthia Renee Gomez; son, Alberto Gomez; and brothers: Eladio and Benjamin Gomez. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fife Funeral Home, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN and 10:00 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in East Chicago with Rev. Juan Gonzalez, C.PP.S. officiating. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond. Visitation at the Fife Funeral Home will be from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday. Antonio retired Inland Steel Company after 35 years of service; he was a member of U.S.W.A. Local #1010; a life long parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and a Cub Scout den leader.
