Barbara Ann Coccaro Obituary
Early in her life, Barbara dedicated herself to being a devoted stay-at-home mother. Once her children were of school age, Barbara began working outside the home at Jewel -Osco on the East Side in the bakery department where her talent and care brought joy to so many customers. Barbara later served several years with pride and integrity as a Cook County Deputy Sheriff. Additionally, she valued her role as a poll worker participating in each election day.
Barbara treasured family gatherings during birthdays, holidays, attending sporting events and hosting Superbowl parties. She enjoyed bowling and playing Bingo. She was easygoing and always made an effort to take care of others. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her relatives, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in her life. Barbara will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain an enduring part of everyone she touched.
There will be a Celebration of Life Mass and Luncheon in honor of Barbara on Saturday, November 29th, at 10:00 AM. The service will take place at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, located at 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage, Indiana. Father Kevin McCarthy will officiate the ceremony.
