Charles A. Svitko, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Diane; son: Andrew (Bethany Centers) Svitko; daughter: Angela (late Jeremy) Vanderberg; grandchildren; Darren (Roji) Svitko, Abigail Svitko, Devin Vanderberg and Avery Vanderberg; great grandchild: Madlyn Vanderberg.
Charles was a lifelong resident of Robertsdale, Indiana. He worked for the City of Hammond for 38 years. A Teamster local 142 and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. A proud member of the Whiting civil defense. A loving husband, father and grandfather.
A visitation with the family will be on Sunday, October 19, from 1:00PM- 5:00PM with a 2:00 PM prayer service at Burns Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 20 at 10 AM with a burial immediately after at St. John-St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond, IN.
