Recalling 09/11 the whole World watched that day my wife left me and the engine in my Ford lighting blew up was stranded in Ogden Utah. Met Michael O'Brien who was the X-ray bomb technician at Hill Air Force Base that took me in allowing me to live out of his motorhome until I could afford to fix the Ford working at Labor Ready in Ogden trying too get back to Wisconsin. With much regret an almost opportunity Broke & Busted abandoned by people most trusted & outta luck when I broke down in my pick up truck in Ogden was stuck on 09/11 praying for a miracle from heaven close yet so far away wished I could have stayed! Can't recall the call letters of the radio station perhaps KiX-109 announcing live on air one of last outdoor concerts in Ogden. I was there even had an 8 by 10 picture of you in the truck wanted autographed. There was only one Chris LeDoux, you were blessed yes i still play guitar and sing!

I had the honor of sharing the stage with Chris while proposing to my now wife of nearly 20 years. Every year on our anniversary I have our local radio station play "Look At You Girl" for my wife. The dj's always want me to tell the story of how Chris made our engagement extra special. We used several of Chris' songs in our wedding. We are both the biggest LeDoux fans in the world and we are truly blessed to have had the chance to get to know Chris a little bit. We dearly miss him.
I have a suspicion that St. Peter met Chris at the Pearly Gates to Heaven and had but a few words for Chris. " Cowboy, your entry fees have been paid in full. Good Ride Cowboy, Good Ride."

From the time I first met Chris when he came to the house to see Ivan (Daines) when they both cowboyed at CC, to his visits to Donells Candies he was a gentleman and true cowboy. I have many of his CDs and listen to them often. Ned's singing make me do a double take since he sound's like his Dad. Ride on cowboy.

Chris was just amazing. When he sang you eagerly sat there waiting to hear more of his songs that felt as if he was telling stories as he sang. The way he bleanded country with Rodeo was awesome. I pearsonaly cant see anyone ever taking his place. He's a legend and in some ways a cowboys narrator. He will be missed always. RIP Chris.

I never had the pleasure of being at one of your concerts. I love your music. It feeds my soul. I cried when I heard the news you left this world behind. 11 years later, I continue to grieve with the rest of true country fans. I'm here today because I'm dating. My top questions anyone before I even agree to meet them is, 'Do you know why Chris LeDoux is?' If they don't know, the best get educated quick. Rest in Peace, Chris! I know your still playing in heaven. Still riding the rodeo too, I bet. Thank you for the music.

I met you at the Cheyenne rodeo so many years ago. Sitting on that fence for what seemed forever. My idol who rode so much than I. Then I see a small card table outside the gates with two small children selling tapes. Your music. I didn't even know you sang. I bought one. Then two . And then never stopped. I remember being with you at a concert in Denver years later. God Chris I miss you. I so regret that I didn't keep in touch more as the years wore on. Eleven years later, you're still #1. Man, cowboy, singer, friend. RIP

I'm not the type of person to bother to post online, but I can't pass up the chance to pay my respects to Chris. If more boys aspired to be half the man he was, the world would be changed for the better. Cowboy up! Take care of yourself, your family and pull those around you up to a higher level. Make the world a better place because you're in it just like Chris LeDoux did. Rest in peace and thank you cowboy!!
