Christopher Carpenter Obituary

Christopher Allan Carpenter Hammond, IN Christopher Allan Carpenter, age 41, of Hammond, IN, passed away while at his home on Sunday, May 13, 2007 Born September 24, 1965, he was the son of Dale C. Carpenter and Linda M. (nee Hauck) Gonzalez. Chris enjoyed car races, gardening and especially mountain biking. Chris, along with his late father, were well known and loved by many in the community. His wit, kindness and warm smile will be missed and his memory forever cherished. Surviving to mourn Chris's passing is his loving mother, Linda (Jerry) Gonzalez; his dear son, Steven Scott; cherished brothers and sisters: Randy (Nancy) Brant, Gregory (Pam) Brant, Lisa (Scott) Wyatt and Michael Smith-Gonzalez; his beloved aunts and uncles: Martha (Terry) Haley, Jerry (Shirley) Carpenter, Mona (Paul) Robison and Stanley (Sandy) Hauck; special cousin, Roy Carpenter; as well as many close nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Waiting to greet him in heaven is his best friend and father, Dale. The family invites relatives and friends to gather at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 S. Cline Ave., Schererville, IN on Sunday, May 20, 2007 at 12:30 for a celebration of Chris's life, led by Wes Miller at 1:00 p.m. Memorial gifts in his name may be made to the charity of one's choice.
