Clay was a good person who had high morals & was an excellent husband & father. I met him around 1972 & we kept in contact until about 10 years ago. He was one of the smartest persons I knew. I remember him fondly. He was a proud member of the club I formed in 1969, Tape Recorders Anonymous.
His love of technology defined him. I am sad to hear of his passing. He was too young.

Clay was a close virtual friend of mine via tape corresponding, voice files, ham radio, and email. We met through the great lakes tape club in the early 70s and stayed friends many years. We drifted apart in the past decade due to life. I had no idea he had passed and just found out. we did meet in person several times over the years we were close virtual friends. Once in the NYC area, once here in NH and twice I visited him at his place. Now there is no way for me to get back together with him. RIP Clay.

My deepest sympathy in your time of loss. Clayton was a great friend through our Jr High and High School years. Although we grew apart; I will always cherish the times we sent together, especially riding into Chicago with his father, (in the Covair) to pick up electronic parts.

Clayton was a prince of a guy. We graduated from Munster High and we went on to Purdue. He used to give me a ride to school and we used to eat lunch together. I saw him once in a while when we both worked at S&L. I will remember him in my prayers.

My condolences. I first met Clay in the 1980's at S&L. We rode the Metra ELectric train together. He was a good engineer and a whis with computers. He will be missed.

Dear Bonnie and Annette,
Clay was such a kind and thoughtful NQA-1 colleague and friend. We worked together on multiple tasks and his thoughts were always so valuable. I will miss him so much at the meetings for both his knowledge and friendship.
God Bless You.

I worked with Clay on the ASME NQA-1 Standards committee and found him to be very thoughtful, considerate and generally a valued member of the committee. His participation was quiet but the strength of his contribution was undeniable. Rest in peace...sit with God. Prayers to the family.

Clay's unique insight into problem solving was an inspiration. His ability to education, inform and lead other with less experience made him a valuable contributor on the committee on which we both serve. He was personable, kind and had the patience to work with difficult subjects and make it look easy. My deepest sympathies to your family.

Clay's dedication to the tasks at hand were sights to behold. He was a great friend, when we shared common hobbies in our younger days.
