DANIEL K. COAPSTICK HAMMOND, IN
Daniel K. Coapstick, age 66 of Hammond, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 7, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia (nee Smith); three children: Daniel (Dejon) Coapstick, Tracie (Phillip) Barner and Lt. Commander Laura (fiance Gregory Smith) Coapstick -U.S. Navy; six grandchildren: Casey Crass, Dawn Marie Crass, Alex Coapstick, Crysta Shebesh, Dakota Sky Seymour and Makaylee Coapstick; two brothers: Carl (Mary) Coapstick and John (Ellen) Coapstick; two sisters: Colleen (Dwight) Hewitt and Shirley (Bob) O'Connell; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his daughters: Shannon Coapstick and Debra Ellen Coapstick; and brothers: Jerry and David Coapstick. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Anthony & Dziadowicz Funeral Home, 4404 Cameron Ave., Hammond, IN (two blocks east of Hohman, one block north of Gostlin) with Rev. Stephen Kosinski officiating. Cremation to follow. Visitation on Saturday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Mr. Coapstick was a lifelong area resident. He was a steelworker for many years. Daniel was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam and a member of the American Legion Pershing Post 428. He enjoyed woodworking. Daniel was a loving husband and father, and loved his grandchildren.
