Danny "Popeye" Rosich

Danny "Popeye" Rosich, 92 of Kouts, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025. He was born on January 2, 1933 in Gary, Indiana, the son of Mildred (Malobabich) Konderla and Milos Rosich. Danny was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving on the frontlines during the Korean Conflict. He worked for 38 years through the Midwest Operating Engineers Local 150, retiring in 1995. Danny was a member of the American Legion Post 301 of Kouts and the Union Retirees Club.

On June 21, 1958 Danny married Lora Phyllis Cosby who survives along with their children, Bonnie (Larry) Laub and Brad Rosich; grandchildren, Hillary Durie, Lorelei (Hunter) South, Bryce Rosich, and Laney Rosich; great-grandchildren, Leland and Aubrey South; brother, John (Carol) Doperiak; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, George (Paula) Rosich, Louise Rosich, Charles Rosich, Joni Lyons, Milos Rosich, Jr., Andrew Doperiak, and Michael Doperiak.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on October 18, 2025 from 9:00-11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Kouts 504 W. Sunset Dr., Kouts, with a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 AM and burial of ashes to follow at Graceland Cemetery, Kouts. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Kouts High School Scholarship Fund. Kosanke Funeral Home, Kouts entrusted with arrangements.
