David Forsberg Obituary
January 30, 1938 - March 22, 2024
David Forsberg, also known as "Paco" or "Frosty" age 86, of Warsaw Indiana, was promoted to Heaven on March 22, 2024. David was born January 30, 1938 to David Clifford and Elva Elizabeth Forsberg.
David went to Layfayette and graduated from Hammond High School in 1956. He continued to get his master's degree at Ball State University. David served primarily as a biology teacher, starting at Pierceton High School and continuing at Whitko High School when it was established. He taught professionally for a total of 43 years. In addition to his primary teaching, he taught driver's ED for 26 years, coached wrestling for 17 years, sponsored ski club for 20 years, and many other wonderful achievements. He was a man of many talents and although retired, never quit teaching. He was truely an inspiration.
Over the years in David's retirement, he has enjoyed beach combing, making miniatures, making signs, and doing trivia; for example: What was the total amount of gifts given in the "Twelve Days of Christmas" song? He enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his dogs, but David's proudest moments were watching and loving his grandchildren.
David had an incredible impact on his students, and anyone he met. His wonderful personality and tender heart will be missed.
David is survived by: Cherlea (Samuel) Neitzer; two grandchildren, Eilana and Elias Neitzer. Sisters: Carol (Lester) Core, Alice (David) Clatterbuck; Nephews and Niece Kyle (Cathy) Fraser, Alexander (Natalie) Fraser, David Clatterbuck, Colleen (Greg) Moyer, and several Great Nieces and Nephews.
David was preceded in death by his sister Diane Fraser, and Great Nephew Brandon Fraser.
A graveside service will be held for family and close friends on Wednesday March 27th at 1pm in the Ridgelawn Cemetery.
There will be a celebration of life in Warsaw, IN open to all that will be held in his remembrance at a later time and will be announced closer to that date.
