David Letts Jr.

David Fletcher Letts, Jr. North Judson, IN David F. Letts, 64, of North Judson, Indiana, formerly of Griffith, passed away June 14, 2006 at 9:35 AM in his home after a short illness. He was born September 13, 1941 to David Fletcher and Antoinette (Fantine) Letts, Sr., in Griffith, Indiana, where he lived until moving to North Jusdon. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Griffith. In 1996, Mr. Letts retired after 35 yeras of service with Northern Indiana Public Service Company as a lineman working out of the Crwon Point center. He was an avid water skier and a past member of the Oppo Ski Club at Bass Lake where he had spent many years as a summer resident with his parents, siblings and his children. He also enjoyed golfing, shooting and stock car racing. On June 8, 1996, he married Marlys (Albus) Redweik, who survied. Also surviving are his children: three daughters: Laura of La Porte, Paticia (RAy) Hoogewerf of Olsmar, FL and Theresa of Oldsmar, FL; two sons: David (SandY) of Highland and Michael of Hobart; two sisters: Dorothy (George) Puchowki of Hobart and Norma Gonda of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren: Hailey, Ryan, Hannah and Angel; two step grandchildren: Carly (Joe) Massa and Sally (Jake) Dyal of Florida; many nieces and nephews. Also one stepson, Martin (Leslie) Redweik and step-grandchildren: Daniel, Schindler and Anna of North Judson; one step daughter, Karla Redweik and step grandson, Ryker Redweik of Bedford; one step granddaughter, Michelle Redweik and one step great grandson, Jareth Chapman of California and one step grandson, Matthew Redweik of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: George Miller and Donald Letts. His final wishes were that everyone be healthy and happy. He will be loved and missed by his family and many friends and acquainteances. Final arrangements made by Braman & Bailey Funeral Home of North Judson, with visitation from 1-5 PM and a service at 2 PM Saturday, June 17, 2006 with Father Zallenger officiating. In lieu of flwers, it is requested that donations be made to VNA Hospice of Porter County.
