INDIANAPOLIS/EAST CHICAGO, IN - Denise K.C. Morris, age 44, of Indianapolis formerly of East Chicago, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She is survived by one son, Noah Morris; mother, Della Morris; four sisters, Tahria (Carlton) Rollins, Tori (William) Harvey, Natisha Morris and Stephanie Williams; two brothers, Robert Morris IV and Jermaine (Laura) Morris and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her father, Robert Morris III.
Funeral service will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church 4756 Melville Avenue East Chicago with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Rev Carlton Barnes, Pastor; Rev. Charles Ricks, officiating. Interment will take place at Fern Oaks Cemetery Griffith.
Denise was employed by the State of Indiana Division of Family & Social Services Administration.
There will be no public viewing. HINTON & WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME is honored to be of service to the Morris family during their time of loss.

Sister, since you been away I have been down and lonely, I keep thinking of you. Trying so hard to understand the reason(s) you left. I keep wandering what I could have done differently to keep you here. Was it something I could have said to heal your pain. Something I could have done differently so you never ended up in the hospital. I search my soul day in and day out trying to figure this out. Although I my mind understands that God only knows the why, my heart just will not listen. On this first year, your first heavenly birthday, first Mother´s day of losing you, I try to find a way to get through. My beautiful flower, plucked away.
