Dion Robert "Bob" Walker

1942 - 2024

Dion "Bob" Robert Walker was born in Gary, IN on November 12, 1942 and passed away on March 13, 2024 at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres, Florida. He was the son of the late H.S. Walker and Bonnie (Cook) Walker. Dion graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Gary, Indiana and retired from the Lee County (Florida) Library System. He married Coletta (Mckenna) Walker on Nov. 26, 1963. Dion worked at Walker Chrysler Plymouth for 26 years. Along with his wife Coletta he raised their three children in Park Place subdivision in Hebron, IN. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events, movies, and listening to oldies music.

The light of Dion's life was his wife Coletta, they were blessed with 57 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by Coletta on Nov. 19th, 2020 and his brother Don Walker.

Survivors include his children Lynn (Dan) Barron of Lehigh Acres, Florida. Robert (Jennifer) Walker of Gold Canyon, AZ, and Darla (Gary) Asher of San Antonio, FL., grandsons: Clark, Cregg, Connor, Collin, Benjamin, and Ryne and granddaughters Allison and Abbie, brother Terry Walker and sisters Wendy (John) Torretto, and Beverly (Harold) Lindy Coop.

The family is planning a "Celebration of Life" this summer in the Michiana area.
