SCHERERVILLE, IN - Dorothy C. Greinke (Dotti) born Jan 1, 1925 died Dec. 19, 2023 of Schererville. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Ernest. Survived by her two sons and their wives. five grandchildren and their spouses and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Friday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. at the LINCOLN RIDGE FUNERAL HOME 7607 W Lincoln Hwy Schererville. At rest memory lane cemetery in Schererville. Friends are invited to visit with Dotti's family on Thursday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home.
Dotti was and accomplished artist and exhibited her work in Washington D.C. and other cities. She was very active at Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church in St. John, IN. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was always on the go and renewed her driver's license 2 months ago. She retired from working when she was 95 years old.

My name is Laura Shamel but I knew your family when I was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Gary. My maiden name was Melchiori and my parents and your parents were friends. I remember you all and wanted to send my condolences. My parents names were Arnold and Helen. Lost my Dad in 2012 and Mom in 2020.

Dottie was always a friend to everyone she met . To us she was more than a friend she was family. Love to hear her stories of her family than and now. Uncle Ralph and Aunt Mildred are a memory that will live on for a long time because of Dottie and Ernie ! She was quite the ball of energy !! Dottie will live forever in our hearts. Gone but not forgotten.
