Mr. Hamacher was my 6th grade teacher at Ambridge Elementary in Gary. He and Christine and the kids stayed at my house many years ago and went skiing at Cannonsburg, just north of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Duane was a great teacher, one I have good memories of. May he rest in peace. My condolences to Christine, the children and grandchildren.
