Dear Auntie Ann, Wayne, JoAnn and extended family,

It is with great sadness that we write you today. It is heartbreaking to hear of Uncle Juno's passing, but I know that my brother Lee, who left us just a few short weeks ago, was there to greet him and help open the gates to Heaven.

I can't begin to list all of my memories of Uncle Juno and the times I spent at your home...Weeks in the Summer, Vacations...any chance I had to spend the night, or the week. And all those wonderful home movies! Oh my gosh...they were each a memory in themselves. What I'll remember most, aside from Auntie Ann's delicious meals, when I was there, is Uncle Juno's teasing, with that glint in his eye and half grin on his face...he was always trying to get a "rise" out of you.. and he always made me smile.

Your home was the one I always visited, because I grew up there, in many respects. I valued you both, Auntie Ann, and you were like my second parents. JoAnn & Wayne, we had so many silly times together, didn't we? And all the while, trying to be quiet so your Dad wouldn't come in and find out we weren't sleeping, but clowning around somehow. We grew up together and we shared all the fun and all the fears that went along with getting older. I'll never forget those pieces of my life.

We love you all and are so very sorry that Uncle Juno won't be there for you, but have faith that he is..it's just that he is visiting with his Sisters and Brothers, Mother & Father...eating freshly baked Paczki and playing cards...all the while asking God's blessings on all he left behind, until he sees you again.

We are very sorry that we were unable to be there for Uncle Juno's send-off. I know that it was very special and just as he would have wanted. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and we share in the loss of one of our own, who was greatly loved by us all and whose memory is permanently etched among the pages of "family".

We will all miss my brother and pray that he has found eternal peace and comfort. Our prayers go out to Ann, Wayne and JoAnne. I pray that you will also find peace and comfort knowing that Eugene is no longer suffering and is now resting peacefully. Kay and I were fortunate to visit with him briefly last year and we were grateful that we had that opportunity. My wife, Kay, and I were hoping that Eugene would have had the strength to visit us on the Central Coast of Oregon. Eugene will always be in our prayers along with my sisters Wanda, Eleanor Cecelia, Clara, Irene and my brother Edwin. I'm sure that they are all gatherered in Heaven. This leaves my sister, Gertrude, and myuself to make this journey in the future.
