FRANCIS G. HERMAN DYER, IN Francis G. Herman, age 80, of Dyer, IN passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Herman; children: Paula (Jonathan) Herrmann-Silverstein, David Herrmann, Monica Herrmann, Rhonda Herrmann, Christopher Herrmann, Kenneth (Robbie) Herrmann, Stephen (Suzanne) Herrmann, and Charlotte Herrmann; grandchildren: Jakob, and Jenna Herrmann, Brian (Crystal) O'Halloran, and Bridget O'Halloran; great granddaughter, Jazmyn O'Halloran; sister, Marcella Krawczykowski; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 beginning with prayers at 9:30 a.m. at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 1920 Hart St. Dyer, IN with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Evangelist Church, 11301 W. 93rd Ave., St. John, IN with Reverend Sammie Maletta officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Schererville, IN. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wake service at 6:00 p.m. Francis was a proud Lifetime Member of Local 150 Midwest Operating Engineers, with 50 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 485 Brunswick, Moose Lodge 828 Chicago Heights, IL, Knights of Columbus Queen of Angels Council St. John, IN and Kiwanis of Steger, IL.
