Francis Jagiel Obituary

Francis L. Jagiel "Frank" Las Vegas, NV Francis "Frank" L. Jagiel, of Las Vegas, passed away December 15,2005. He was born Feb. 3, 1933 in East Chicago, IN. He is survived by his wife, Stella (Knight) of Las Vegas, NV., daughter, Dawn Renee Douthit of Surprise, Az., son, Kevin , of Bolingbrook, IL, mother, Jeanette Shelton, of Hammond, IN; sister, Jacqueline Spelman, of Rockford, IL. He also left three granddaughters and one grandson. They were very special to him. He was retired from Republic Steel , after 32 years as a electrician. He served in the Navy, during the Korean War, 1951-1955, as a signalman aboard the ship, USS Bald Duck, out of San Diego, Ca. He resided with his wife and children in Sauk Village, Il for 24 years, before moving to Las Vegas in 1996. How he loved living in Vegas, was a dream come true for him. He loved the weather, blue skies and the fantastic sunsets, always taking pictures to capture the beauty, that he saw. He spent hours building model ships, cars, planes, and gardening. He had great passion for his hobbies and never tired of looking at his handiwork. He will be, greatly, missed by wife, daughter, son, Mother, Sister, his in-laws, and his friends. Memorial services will be held for him , at a later date.
