Frederick J. Rybicki
Frederick J. Rybicki, age 84, of Lansing, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Paulette Rybicki (nee Piscitello/Gaurell). He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Lira-Gardner (nee Rybicki, husband Tom); son, Jack Rybicki (wife Jessica); stepdaughters, Stacey Lazzara (nee Gaurell, husband Anthony) and Kim Jacobson (nee Gaurell, husband Chris); ten grandchildren, Jackson, James, Whitney, River, Sage, Lotus, Cedar, Tiela, Nikole, and Gabriel; and one great-grandchild, Nikolus. Fred was also a dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, John and Veronica (nee Koch) Rybicki.
Visitation for Frederick will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8501 Calumet Ave., Munster, Indiana with visitation from 9:30 AM until 10 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following with Rev. Michael J. Yadron, KCHS officiating. Fredrick will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois. A Celebration of life luncheon will follow at Little Italy, 1155 Joliet St, Dyer, Indiana starting at 12:30 PM.

Fred worked as a machinist at Republic Steel and LTV and was a frequent visitor at the Eisenhower Community and Fitness Center for walks in the pool. He enjoyed the company of his ROMEO friends and his passions were baseball (White Sox), bird hunting and wood working. His wife, Paulette, worked at Anderson Trucking Service and was a member of the Lansing Lady Lion's and the Illiana Club of Traditional Jazz. Schroeder-Lauer has been entrusted with the arrangements and care of Mr. Rybicki.
