Gary Brinkman

1942 - 2026

Gary Bernard Brinkman, age 83, of Hinsdale, passed away on March 4, 2025. He was one of four sons of Frank and Mildred Brinkman. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Paul and Bob. He is survived by his beloved youngest brother Terry. Gary was the proud uncle of 13 loving nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his close friends Dick and Betty Sterk and Tim Hollandsworth.

Gary grew up in LaGrange and has resided in Hinsdale since 1986. Gary had a long distinguished career in management at an illinois-Indiana grocery chain, Sterk's Super Foods. He was President of the company from 1990 until it was sold in 2000. All that had the privilege of knowing Gary really loved him. He will be deeply missed.

Gary so enjoyed his frequent golf games with brothers Paul and Terry and nephew Steve Brinkman.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
