Geraldine Lesko Obituary
Geraldine Marie Lesko of Munster, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Beloved wife for 49 years of Eugene G. Lesko; loving mother of Dr. Robert (Dr. Karen) Lesko and Karen (Troy) Wening; proud grandmother of Lauren, Andrew and Adam Lesko, Brandon and Ashley Wening; cherished sister of Annette (Joseph) Zapinski and Frank "Butch" (Kitty) Gajewski; fond sister-in-law of Helen Marie (late Jack) Skaggs and Vi (late M. Edward) Lesko. Preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Mary Gajewski. Visitation will be Friday, June 25, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe), Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 9:15 AM from the funeral home with a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas More Church. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Gerry was a longtime resident of Munster and a member of St. Thomas More Church. Contributions for Mass intentions in her memory would be appreciated. www.kishfuneralhome.net

Mr. Lesko, Robert, Karen and families,
I can't express how very sorry I am to hear of your loss. Rob and Karen, I will always remember your mom as the amazingly dedicated and loving mother that she was. She was always so kind to me. (Karen, remember how she was there for us when we tried out for cheerleading at St. Tom's and practiced at your house?!) I have all happy memories of her. Most of all, she was always so very, very proud of both of you. Know that she is still looking over you and your kids with that same love and pride! I know she will be always with you in so many ways.

I think the best and happiest time that I recall with Gerry, my cousin, was at a Family Reunion picnic, in Whiting, IN, where Gerry had won some type of Beauty contest, and I remember her being crowned the "Queen". She was so happy, that day! My heart goes out to the Lesko family, as well as to Butch and Annette, her siblings. She is at peace now, and with her parents and other family members, and only a heart beat away whenever you need her!

Dearest Lesko Family, my heart and prayers go out to each and everyone of you. Mrs Lesko was a GREAT woman and will be missed. I was so sorry to hear of her passing, but as everyone has said NOW the Lesko Family has ANOTHER ANGEL in heaven to watch over them. Just remember that even though she's no longer on this earth that she will still walk beside you everyday for the rest of your lives, and she no further then your hearts.
