Gertrude A. Sperka Merrillville Gertrude A. Sperka, age 92, of Merrillville, IN, formerly of Tolleston, IN, passed away Friday, October 13, 2006. She is survived by two sons: Edward M. (Patricia) Sperka of Merrillville, IN and George M. (Barbara) Sperka of Hebron, IN; six grandchildren: Sandra (Richard) Cruz of IL, Vicki Sperka of Merrillville, IN, Stephanie (Joe) Cooper of Merrillville, IN, George E. (Cathy) Sperka of Munster, IN, Christine Sperka and Michael Sperka, both of Hebron, IN; one great-granddaughter, Cameron Cooper; one great-grandson, Joseph Cooper. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward G. Sperka. Gertrude was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church and a former member of Sacred Heart Church in Tolleston. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville, IN on Sunday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 2:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 16, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Consolation Church, 8303 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN with Rev.
