GLENDON C. "GLEN" POWERS LOWELL, IN Glendon C. "Glen" Powers, age 84, of Lowell, IN, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008. He was born in Hartford, KY on March 11, 1923. Glen is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mona; two sons: Michael Powers of Crown Point and Brian (Cindy) Powers of Lowell; eight grandchildren: Shannon (Ed) Schultze, Tracey (Tom) O'Brien, Shawn Powers, Darrin Powers, Michael (Emily) Powers, Keith Powers, Kristine Powers and Josh Powers; five great grandchildren: Taylor Copper, Eddie Schultze, Kendall Powers, and Joey and Tommy O'Brien; one brother, Anderson (Irene) Powers of Louisville, KY; one sister-in- law, Helen Powers of Lowell. He was preceded in death by two sons: Ronnie and Kendall Powers. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sheets Funeral Home, 604 E. Commercial Ave., Lowell, IN with Pastor Brian Powers officiating. Burial will follow at Lowell Memorial Cemetery in Lowell, IN. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Glen was retired from Blaw-Knox in East Chicago, IN after 35 years of service. He was a WWII veteran. Glen was a member of the Lowell Masonic Lodge, the Eastern Star in Griffith, IN and the Lowell American Legion. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cedar Lake, IN.
