To all of Goldie's family: I have met some of you but not all. My heartfelt condolences to you. I used to call Goldie my 'jail mom' because she always looked out for me and made me do my best. I have her to thank for actually becoming a Sgt.myself. She kept after me :) and I'm thankful. I'm also amazed at what a great actress she was. I saw her in a couple of plays, one was a one-act play lasting over an hour in Evanston,Il. She was amazing! She never left the stage and never missed a line. Goldie was truly an amazing person and a wonderful friend. I will miss her deeply. God Bless to all of you.

I will always hold vivid fond memories from my childhood with your family. Goldie always encouraged and entertained me. Her smile lit up the room. My deepest sympathies to you girls and your families. She was a force to be reckoned with and an amazing person.
