JACK WELDON HIGHLAND, IN Jack Weldon, age 79, of Highland, IN, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Mardel Weldon, cherished son Ron Weldon of St. Louis, MO, devoted daughter and son-in-law Susan and Michael Ondas of East Hampton, CT, beloved grandsons Austin and Jarod Ondas, brother William (Virginia) Weldon of Tennessee, sister-in-law Sharon (Dale) Shesler of Hammond, and numerous nieces, nephews, great friends, and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Leatha Weldon, sisters Margaret and Norma, brother Robert, and his precious puppy Little Elvis. A Memorial Gathering celebrating the life of Jack will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN, 46322 from 3:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m with a Prayer Service being held at 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Our Lady of Grace Church 3025 Highway Avenue, Highland, IN at 10:30 a.m with Reverend Edward Moszur officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 10:00 a.m until time of service on Tuesday. Jack was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, retired from Inland Steel Arcelor/Mittal with over 40 years of service, and was a member of the Inland Steel 25 year club.
