Janet E. Bechler

Janet E. (Erwin) Bechler MESA, AZ - Janet E. (Erwin) Bechler, age 79 of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Kouts, IN, passed away surrounded by her family on October 28, 2017 as a result of Alzheimer's disease. She was born to the late Andrew and Elaine Erwin on June 21, 1938. She graduated from Hobart, IN High School in 1956 and attended Olivet Nazarene University. Jan deeply loved and lived to serve her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Johnnie Bechler. She leaves behind three children: Karen (Lonnie) Bullock of Mesa, AZ, Michael (Mary Jo) Bechler of San Juan Capistrano, CA and Bradley Bechler of White Fish, MT; seven grandchildren: Kristie Bullock, Kasie (Adam) Walters, Michaela, Gabby, Adrianne, Annie and Ian Bechler; four great grandchildren: Colin Bullock, Evelyn, Nolan and Mason Walters; two sisters: Donna (Erwin) Irwin and Arlene (Erwin) Greene and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald and David Erwin; sister, Ella Mae (Erwin) Noland and grandson, Brady John Bullock. There will be two memorial services to celebrate Jan's life. The first will be November 5, 2017 at The Summit at Sunland Springs (2415 S. Signal Butte Rd; Mesa, AZ 85209) at 2:00 p.m., followed by a time to visit with the family. The second will be November 8, 2017 at Cornerstone Community Church (605 S. Maple St, Kouts, IN 46347) at 10:30 a.m. followed by a time to visit with the family.
