The first of three children, Janice was born in East Chicago, IN, on June 22, 1948. A lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community, she was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting, and a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute, Hammond, Class of 1966. As a young mother, Janice effortlessly juggled raising her kids while putting herself through college. She went on to earn Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Accounting, Management and Computer Science at Calumet College of St. Joseph, Hammond. A Certified Public Accountant in the State of Indiana, she was a valued member of The Hicko CPA Group, P.C., Merrillville, with 39 years of dedication. A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society, Janice valued her career and the clients she served until her passing. She considered them friends, and most, like family. Although her professional career was filled with many accomplishments, "Grammy" was her greatest title. There is nothing she was more proud of than her three children and their families. Janice was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, friend and professional. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1849 Lincoln Ave., Whiting, IN 46394, would be appreciated.
