Davis family,
Jeanette and I became friends when we were both transferred to Riley School for 5th and 6th grades. We became closer friends once we both arrived at East Chicago Washington High. We lived on opposite ends of Guthrie Street, but we walked halfway home together. I would see Jeanette several times a year when I was a patrol officer for ECPD, but have only seen her a few times after my retirement. We would always talk about our school days and reminisce walking to school together on those cold, brutal winter days. I have not seen Jeanette since I moved from Washington Park to Schererville 4 years ago. I am saddened and very sorry to read of Jeanette's passing and want to express my deepest sympathy on the loss of a remarkable woman, that I was proud to call a lifetime friend. TIME PASSES, BUT MEMORIES NEVER FADE. May your memories of Jeanette soothe you, your friends comfort you, and your family's strength help your hearts begin to heal. May the love you all shared sustain you through this time of sorrow. Rest in the knowledge that Jeanette is wrapped in His everlasting arms. I am sorry that I could not be with you all, with you in spirit. May her memory be eternal.
