JEREMY D. SMITH LAKE VILLAGE, IN
Jeremy D. Smith, age 34, of Lake Village, IN passed away March 13, 2008. He is survived by his son, Jarett; daughter, Elaina; the mother of his children, Karen Smith of Lake Village; father, Aubrey (Rhonda) Smith of Rensselaer; mother, Marie (Harry) Christman of Lake Village; three brothers: Michael (Jayme) Christman of Carmel, IN, Jesse Melendez of Hammond and Scott (Tracy) Mayfield of Lafayette; two sisters: Fayth (Scott) Janek of Griffith and Justine Christman of DeMotte; grandfather, Aubrey (Carolyn) Smith of Pullman, MI; three aunts: Regina (Estil) Looney of Merrillville, Linda (Don) Ulm of Morocco, IN and Lisa (Danny) Bryant of Fostoria, OH; two uncles: Rod (Sue) Parker of Valparaiso and Glen (Debbie) Parker of Hammond; two cousins: Scott Looney and Jeff Looney, both of Hammond. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jamie O. Smith. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd. (2 blocks south of Ridge Rd.), Highland, IN with Pastor Grant Ray, officiating. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, March 17, 2008 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home. Jeremy was employed by Korellis Roofing. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Memorial donations in Jeremy's memory may be given to his children's education fund.

I just wanna tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I have so many good memories of all of us when we were younger on Myrtle. I am glad we lived next door to each other and I had the opportunity to meet Jeremy. I remember he was the guy on the block that everyone seemed to have a crush on.
