ST. JOHN, IN - Jillian M. Sherly, age 34, late of St. John, IN, born February 6, 1990, passed away May 6, 2024 after a short illness.

Beloved daughter of Matthew and Jennifer Sherly (nee Cappello); loving sister of Luke (Ali, fiancé) Sherly; dearest niece of Caryn (Mike) Kazmierczak, Jim (Joy) Cappello, Mark (Maggie) Sherly, Linda Sherly, Marijo (Mike) Huetten, Sue Cash, late Leanne (Tony) Arredondo, Janice (Mark) Vranicar, Caroline Sherly, Carolyn (Frank) Cantele, Wayne (Denise) Kubek, Cynthia (late Aldo) Sulli, Loralyn Laich, Glenn (Sue) Kubek, and Lynette (Mike) Cremerius. Jillian is also survived by many loving cousins and friends, and her much loved kitty, Tuesday.

Jillian was a graduate of Columbia College and was furthering her education in a post-baccalaureate program at Northwestern University. She was known for her immense empathy and unwavering support for the underdog. Jillian was driven by her commitment to humanitarian causes and advocated for justice and equality. Her warmth was matched only by her wit. She deeply touched the lives of those around her by bringing laughter and light into every room.

Memorial Visitation Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until time of prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at the ELMWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 11300 W. 97th Ln. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th LN.) St. John. For more information 219-365-3474.

In loving memory of Jill,

Jill was a truly special person whose kindness and warmth touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her genuine smile and compassionate nature made the world a brighter place. Jill had a unique way of making people feel valued and understood, always offering a listening ear and a comforting presence.

Her love for life and her dedication to her friends and family were unparalleled. Jill´s creativity and passion were evident in everything she did, from her hobbies to her work. She had an extraordinary ability to bring joy and laughter to any situation, making those around her feel cherished and appreciated.

Though she has left us, Jill´s legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all. May we honor her memory by carrying forward the warmth and generosity she shared with us.

Rest in peace, Jill. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
