Joan Marie Umek, 80, passed away peacefully and in the presence of her family on June 7, 2025.
Joan worked at the EJ&E Railway for 30+ years. She enjoyed riding horses, swinging on her patio, playing with her cats, and bingo with friends.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bessie Reus, husband, Anthony Umek, beloved sister, Patricia Fries, and brother-in-law, Norman Byttow.
She is survived by her children, Janet (Edward) Enzenbacher, and James (Kimberly) Baker; grandchildren, Conor, Brandon, and Charlie; sister, Betty Jean Byttow; loving nieces and nephews; and her many friends.
