Joanna Bos Obituary

Joanna Bos, 74, of Wanatah passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025. She was born August 25, 1951, to Thomas & Lillian (Terrana) Gift and graduated from South Central High School. Joanna enjoyed meticulously landscaping her yard, allowing herself to become immersed in music and of course, her family, especially the grandchildren. Her membership at Valley Baptist Church was highlighted for her with the regular ladies group gatherings.
On October 17, 2015, she married Dennis Bos who survives along with her children: Carol Marie Wilson, Matthew Roger (Dawn) Rinker, Rachel Anna (Eric) Tollefson, stepchildren: Deanna (Greg) Smolek, Brian (Kelli) Bos, siblings: Thomas (Randi) Gift, Jr., Gina (Mike) Merle, Art (Jari) Gift, Ron (Sarah) Gift, grandchildren: Heather, Levi (Brittany), Molly Lee, Tucker (Savannah), Cooper, Maggie, Lillie, Katie, Molly, Colten, Lilly, Rinker & Miller, great-grandchildren: Aneisa, Brantley, Waylon, Ayla, Hazel & Emery, and sisters and brother-in-law: Debbie (Scott) Sutton, Kim Bos & David (Carmo) Bos. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother-in-law, Daryl Bos.
A visitation will be held Thursday, October 30th from 3 – 6 pm at Valley Baptist Church, 255 Rigg Rd., Valparaiso. The funeral service will be held Friday, 10:30 am at the church with burial to follow at Hanna Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Valley Baptist Church.
