Dear sweet John, we promised that whomever arrives first in the kingdom of heaven that we would wait for the other. "You and me, always together." With each passing day I miss you more but I know that I must be brave and finish out my purpose in this life. I love you so much. My heart aches for you. You were the best husband a wife could ever want. I know that I´ll see you again my sweet baby bear. Thousands of hugs and kisses to you. Love, your wife Pam

Our family is deeply saddened at the loss of my cousin, John. Since hearing of his passing, I have been looking at old family pictures. I am flooded with memories of birthdays and holidays we spent together during our early childhoods. John, his brother, George, Linda, and Bill were the loving and fun older cousins to my sister Margaret, my brother Jim, and me. They always made time for us to share stories and listen. Later, as we saw each other less often, it was easy to pick up where we left off and talk about family, Chicago sports and current events. The loss is enormous on so many levels. John was a gentleman, a generous and kind human being. His relationship with his brother George was as close as siblings can be. We knew he would find love with the right person, and he did, with Pam. For Margaret, Jim and me, John knew us our entire lives, and it is hard to think about him not being with us for the rest of it. He will forever remain in our hearts.

I am so heartbroken at the loss of my dear cousin John. Always kind, always warm and caring, John was one of the good ones. He was a living reflection of his beautiful, compassionate, intelligent mother, my Aunt Dorothy. John had such patience with his younger cousins, and at occasions when we saw one another, he was eager to listen and hear about our lives. To Pam, you brought such joy and happiness to his life. To George, you were a loving, best big brother. In a world that can use more wonderful people like John, his loss is all the more devastating. I will remember him in my heart always.
