My deepest sympathies to the family on the loss of their father. He was a kind and decent man who loved all the boys who played for him. As a three year veteran of the Lion's Club Yanks and later playing for Mr. Shepitka on the Babe Ruth Allstars team I can still say he was a great dad and baseball manager. To Rod and the rest of the family I grieve with you this day on the loss of your dad.

I am saddened by John’s passing, and wish to extend my sincere condolences. I am grateful to have known John. I fondly recall his superb command of the English language, and our numerous conversations that almost certainly included some talk of base ball. He will be missed.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the entire Shepitka family.
I once was a student of Mrs. Sweigart's at the Hobart Junior High School. That was many years ago. May God Bless you all.
