My condolences to Jon and his family. I grew up with Jon in his neighborhood in Bon Air subdivision in Merrillville. I remember our wiffle ball and football games in our backyard and Jon was one of the fastest runners around always with a smile. We have a picture of him and others in the neighborhood when he was about 8 or 9 yrs.old with our football helmets on. Jon also had a 5 speed Schwinn Stingray bike that was a gold/yellow color which he rode around on the street and in empty lots and played chicken sometime on our bikes seeing who would turn first in our head-end attacks. We also played army and dug holes in the empty lots running around pretending we were attacking the enemies. Plenty of good memories. Jon will be missed and my prayers are with him.
