Joseph F. Kwiecien

JOSEPH F. KWIECIEN HAMMOND, IN Joseph F. Kwiecien, 70, of Hammond, IN, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015. He is survived by his daughter: Amy Curry of Hammond, IN; son: Joseph M. Kwiecien of Crown Point, IN; three grandchildren: Kayden, Anberlyn and Spencer; brother: Frank (Phyllis) Kwiecien, Jr. of Crown Point, IN; and brothers-in-law: Benny J. Wielgos, Jr. of Lowell, IN, Larry F. (Sue) Wielgos of Newburyport, MA, and Marty Wielgos of Hammond, IN. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Barbara (nee Wielgos), on July 4, 2015; sisters: Mary Ann Magiera, Cecilia Trimbur and Irene Mackowiak; and brother-in-law: Jimmy "Jim" Wielgos. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. from the Anthony & Dziadowicz Funeral Home, 9445 Calumet Ave. (at 45th St.), Munster, IN, with Rev. Mark Pavlina officiating. Cremation to follow. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Joe was active with the Porter County Special Olympics. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at the William J. Riley Memorial Hospice Residence for the wonderful, compassionate, and tender care they gave to Joe and his family.
