Kenneth Hoffman Obituary

KENNETH HOFFMAN OCALA, FL

Kenneth Hoffman, 81, of Ocala, FL passed away peacefully in his sleep on Christmas morning, December 25, 2014, after an evening spent surrounded by family and friends singing carols. He was born to the late Eva and John Hoffman on July 15, 1933, and raised in Crown Point, Indiana. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 and was stationed in Korea for one year. A farm boy at heart, he loved the great outdoors and enjoyed working with animals on his beloved King Farm. He had a relentless work ethic, and spent a lifetime training thoroughbred horses. He also had a passion for cars and owned an automotive dealership. Kenneth will be most remembered for his incredible warmth toward people, his strong faith in the Lord and his love of storytelling. He had family and friends across the country, from Crete to Ocala, his frequent driving route. Kenneth is survived by Ruth Hoffman nee Fazzini, the mother of his five children: Kim (Al) Tumas, Mark Hoffman, Perry Hoffman, Dean Hoffman and Jill (Mark) Birringer. Lovingly referred to as "Papa", he will be greatly missed by his nine grandchildren: Lauren Schumacher, Brooke Loehndorf, Anneli, Kenny and Cody Hoffman, Montana and Hanson Birringer and John and Robert Hoffman. He was a loving brother to Pearl Thiel, Rosie Hortyk, Marcella Hoshaw, Francis and Donald Hoffman and the late Genevieve Stark, Robert, Herbert and John "Junie" Hoffman. He was a kind uncle to his many nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation and gathering will take place at St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 - 115th Ave, Mokena, on Tuesday morning, December 30th, from 9:00 AM until time of Memorial Mass 10:00 AM. Cremation private. Memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. 38105. For further service information please call Panozzo Bros. I am having fond memories of the summer weeks and Christmas Holidays spent on the farm. Uncle King was at the head of the dinner table and he had such a joyous laugh. He was an amazing Uncle. A good soul. Miss those days for sure. Love/miss him always~T.Marie

Enjoyed many occasions (Cu's Gig wins) with Kenny and I always admired him and the wonderful way he enjoyed life.
He touched my heart and gave me really good advice when I needed it!
My son Anthony is "special" and whenever Kenny met with him, he always went out of his way to look him in the eye and talk to him with true interest! Anthony told me "he's a good man" and that being said we will miss him!
Rest in Peace Kenny!
