Leslie Moynihan Obituary
Leslie J. Moynihan Jr., age 82, of Cedar Lake, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 28, 2011. Survived by one son, Dr. Harry (Susan) Moynihan of Selma, IN; six grandchildren: Joey, Jamie, Jenny, John, Jake, and Jason; one sister, Mary (Robert) Dunne of Oswego, IL; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; and sister, Patricia Sandberg. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Burdan Funeral Home with Deacon Ed Kozub officiating. Burial will follow at West Creek Cemetery, Lowell, IN. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Burdan Funeral Home, 12901 Wicker Ave. (corner of Rt 41 and 129th), Cedar Lake. Les proudly served his country with the United States Marines from 1946 to 1948. He and his wife, Wanda ran “Wicked Wanda’s” restaurant on Route 41 for 15 years. I could always count on seen him when I went to visit my parents for coffee when I went to Cedar Lake Kitchen and I remember hanging out at Wicked Wanda’s when my dad worked at Sheehy's.
Les and Wanda I will always remember you both.
