Libby Levin Obituary
Libby Berger Levin, age 101, died Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Indianapolis. She lived for many years in Hammond, graduating from George Rogers Clark High School. Libby received an undergraduate degree from Indiana State University and a Master's Degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin. She taught grade school for many years in the Hammond public schools. She married Samuel Levin (deceased) and lived in Hammond, Chicago, and Indianapolis. They had three sons, Stanford, Paul, and Ted (deceased). In addition to her two sons, she is survived by three daughters- in-law: Sharon, Kathy, and Polly; seven grandchildren: Allison, Elliot, Kelly, Keith, Nathan, Aaron, and Lauren; four great grandchildren: Ava, Sam, Zoe, and Mia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 1:00 PM Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN, followed immediately by a funeral service at Burns-Kish Funeral Home and then burial at Kneseth-Israel Cemetery in Hammond, IN. www.burnskish.com
