VALPARAISO, IN - Lois Jean (Patrizi) Halfman, age 83 of Valparaiso, IN passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 in Chesterton, IN. She was born on February 16, 1940 in Gary, IN to Louis and Anita (Marks) Patrizi.
Lois is survived by her sons, Michael (Mary) Halfman, Paul Halfman; daughters, Kathy (Craig) Hornsby, Renee Halfman; sister, Mary Jane Willingham; grandsons, Jason, Mark, John, Robert; granddaughters, Rachel, Erin, Casey, Sophia; great-granddaughter, Rebecca; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carl Halfman; and parents, Louis and Anita Patrizi.
Lois graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Glen Park. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Lois was a long-time member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Winfield. She loved to cook, sew, and especially volunteer in all facets. She had a servant spirit and giving heart. Lois would help anyone in need. Her great sense of humor and wit will truly be missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N Calumet Rd., Chesterton, IN 46304 with Father Jon Plavcan officiating. Burial to follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, donation in Lois's honor may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.ee-fh.com.

My condolences to the family. I knew both Bob and Lois from working at Residences At Coffee. As a concierge you get to know the residents and their family members. It was a pleasure serving both Bob and Lois. They will hold a special place in my heart. I know they are both dancing in heaven.

I am so, so sorry to hear of Mrs Halfman´s passing and even more surprised to hear Mr Halfman passed away. The passing of Merrillville friends involved in youth baseball hurts, but the memories will remain. May they both RIP and the Angels lead them into paradise....my sincere sympathy to you all.....
