Louis Chasseur Obituary

LOUIS E. CHASSEUR DYER, IN Louis E. Chasseur, 86, of Dyer, IN, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Adeline "Adele"; two daughters: Luanne (Keith) Cogswell and Laura (Lou) Filosa; one son: Louis (Laurie) Chasseur; and six grandchildren: Candice Chasseur, Sarah Filosa, Jimmy Chasseur, Kenny Chasseur, Jackie (Jonathan) Busch and Louis Filosa. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2008, 9:30 a.m. at the Anthony & Dziadowicz Funeral Home, 9445 Calumet Ave. (at 45th St.), Munster, IN, 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Maria Goretti Church, with Rev. Charles Niblick officiating. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum, Calumet City, IL. Visitation Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Chasseur was a retired Industrial Engineer with Joslyn Corp. He was a charter member of SPARC and a member of Piemontese Del Mondo.

I had the wonderful privilege of having Lou as my father-in-law the past 28 years. He was a great guy who truly loved and cared for his family. I will miss him and his goofy stories.

Louis was an awesome guy. He was the best neighbor that I could have ever asked for. He will be greatly missed by all of us. I feel very fortunate to have spent the time with Louis that I did. My thoughts are prayers are with his wonderful and loving family.
